Both California license pathways

DRE and DFPI MLOs can explore the platform.

Straight Deal Mortgage supports qualified California MLOs through both licensing paths. Under DRE, an individual must hold a current California real-estate license with an approved MLO endorsement managed through NMLS. Under DFPI, MLOs operating through the California Finance Law or California Residential Mortgage Lending Act framework maintain the applicable MLO license and sponsorship through NMLS.

An inactive or unsponsored status may not authorize origination. Each transition should be coordinated so the correct DRE endorsement or DFPI license status and company sponsorship are effective before licensed activity begins.
